Description:
Cave Katafiki, found in proximity to the village of Dryopida,
occupies the site of Fires. At present, it remains unexploited
and ranks among the largest caves in Greece that are rich
in stalactites. In the course of World War II, the cave
served as shelter for local inhabitants. It is further
a gathering place for the celebration of the Resurrection
of Christ on the night of Holy Saturday (Easter Vigil).
