  • Description: The Vikos Gorge. 600 m from the village of Monodendri, starts the Vikos Gorge which extends for more than 30 km (Tsepelovo-Kleidonia). Its depth is varied: it reaches 600 m in the area of Monodendri, where its narrowest part occurs, and attains its maximum depth of 1.200 m near the village of Vikos (the eastern wall measures more than 1.300 m deep, while the western one reaches 1.100 m). This deeper part of the gorge also features the greatest spread, equaling 2.200 m approximately.
